The program operates on an open enrollment basis, and there are no specific entry requirements. Individuals with a genuine interest in the subject matter are welcome to participate.

 

1. Introduction to Animation: An overview of the animation industry, its history, and various animation techniques. Students gain a fundamental understanding of animation principles and processes.

2. Concept Art Fundamentals: Students learn the basics of drawing, composition, color theory, and visual storytelling. They develop skills in sketching, rendering, and creating concept art.

3. Character Design: This module focuses on creating appealing and memorable characters for animation. Students learn to develop unique character designs, considering factors such as personality, anatomy, and visual storytelling.

4. Environment Design: Students explore the creation of immersive and visually stunning environments for animated projects. They learn to design landscapes, architecture, and props that complement the overall storytelling and visual style.

5. Storyboarding: Students learn the art of creating storyboards, which are sequential visualizations of a story or script. They learn to communicate narrative and action through panel layouts, composition, and camera angles.

6. Digital Art Tools: Students become proficient in using digital art software and tools commonly used in the animation industry, such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and other specialized software for concept art and digital painting.

7. Portfolio Development: Throughout the program, students work on building a professional portfolio that showcases their skills and creativity. They receive guidance and feedback to refine their work and present their best pieces to potential employers.

8. Industry Practices and Professional Development: This module covers the business aspects of the animation industry, including project management, client collaboration, and professional ethics. Students also learn about industry trends, job opportunities, and how to market themselves as animation concept artists.
